Pig Roast - October, 2011

On what was forecasted to be one of the worst weather days of the year the RSC held their annual Pig Roast.  But, lo and behold the Ski Gods looked down and said “Cease and desist” and so it happened.  On a cloudy, breezy and a bit cool, but dry day at the Braddock’s Bay Park in Greece over 100 members and guests enjoyed another friendly and tasty pig roast. The beverages never ran out and the food catered by Old Mill Catering and our own Nancy P. (hors d’oeuvres, beans, sauerkraut and the desserts) was delicious.  The piggy arrived all golden brown and steaming hot.  The usual “vultures" formed around the sleeping pig, swooping in to pick tasty morsels as Tom fought them back to carve the pig for delivery to the ready group.  Thanks to Nancy P. for organizing and providing much of the food for the event.  Additional thanks to Bev M. for providing the decorations and setting up and Bill M. for his additional help in setup and serving, and to Bob P, Monica B, Fritz H, Marilyn R, Bob W, Nancy O, Brooks L, Terry S and anyone else I forgot who came early and stayed late to set up and clean up.  So thanks again to Nancy P. and all who worked and enjoyed.   ***Jim P.***      (Note from the club:  And thanks to Jim P. for all of his help too!)

And the clean-up begins - thanks to everyone who helped!
